Health shows UPS not present
When I first attached my ups it showed up as ok in the health status on front view. We even had one power outage and it worked great shutting down the unit. Anyhow, now, the health status page says UPS1 Not Present. From shell it looks fine to me. Coincidentally, my backup logs are no longer coming up when I press the button to show them, but in /var/log/backup I see the logs and they are updating and have reasonable content. Could I have some permissions problems on files causing this? I'm running 4.2.18. I can upgrade to 4.2.19 if it will help.

- Raidar shows the ups is fine by the way. Probably a Frontview UI bug. I can't figure out why no logs are accessible for me from frontview anymore though. Even the Logs frame (Next to "Health") says I have no logs even though the button to get all the logs into a zip file works.
- Could you try clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files)?
- No change clearing the browser cache for either the UPS not present or the logs. For the UPS, possibly when I saw it initially it was in RaidAR and it was never right on frontview. The logs not coming up is a mystery to me.
I notice that when I refresh the Health tab the file /ramfs/ups.info gets rewritten. The contents of this file are always:
APC Back-UPS ES 550!!100!!16
also /ramfs/.ups_connected contains:
hidups
steve - Well, I upgraded to 4.2.19 and both problems went away. Hopefully it will stay that way :-). Upgrade wasn't "smooth" because I hit the issue where the browser said there were active background tasks. After a couple of try - reboot - try -reboot it finally happened.
