- PapaBear1ApprenticeWhat size drives are you considering?
For 1TB and 2TB drives you also have the options of Samsung and Hitachi. My personal current configuration is 2x1TB Seagates and 2x3TB Hitachis in each of my two NVX units. (Seagate ST31000528AS and Hitchi HDS5C3030ALA630. - RabbieAspirantYou can refer to the HCL(Hard disk Compatibility List):

- PapaBear1ApprenticeWell, for consumer grade drives, unless you want to go on a long search, you have a basic choice of three current drives. The Samsung Spinpoint HD204UI has just been added to the list for the Ultra 2/4/6. The Seagate ST2000DL003 and WD20EARS have been available for a while. All three are the exact same price on Newegg ($80 with free shipping). There have been more problems posted by users about the WD, and some problems with the Seagate. There have been few problems posted about the Samsung, but it is just now on the list. In fact, if you have an Ultra Plus 2/4/6, it is still not on the list, nor is it on the list for the Pro 2/4/6. However, since these units are so similar, it will probably be on them shortly, unless there is a problem.
