Help with product identification
Hello All,
As you can see from the topic title I'm a bit green around the gills :D
I'm looking to buy a new pair of hard drives to expand the capacity of my Readynas. At the moment I have two 1Tb drives. So I looked on the hardware compatibaility list (http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=82) to check which ones I could use... unfortunately for me a simple mind is easily confused!
So...I'm hoping someone can provide me with insight into how to correctly determine the correct product name/spec/number for my Readynas.
I've looked underneath it and it says Readynas Duo. It then goes on to say RND2110 V2. So my question is is it a Readynas Duo or a Readynas Duo V2?
From what I can make out the answer will determine if I can go up to two 3Tb drives or have to make to with only 2Tb drives.
Any help greatly appreciated!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIf you are running 4.1.x firmware on the duo then you have a v1. If you are running 5.x.x firmware, you have a v2.
Here's the definitive guide: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/ - juicy_chickenAspirantThe light at the end of the tunnel is now on! Thank you that was very helpful and very clear... more than I can say for the product labelling
