No, you won't be able to directly move the drives. You can buy a new 2 TB drive, and copy over the network. Then add the existing drives, giving you twice the storage you have now.

For general file serving, the ultra 4 is a good choice. The new NV+ V2 is also a sensible choice, but personally I would wait a bit for the firmware to stabilize.
