I recently purchased new drives to populate my NAS system, 3 1tb SSDs and a singe 6Tb snail drive. after destroying the old volume I powered down the NAS, removed the old drives and install the new...
I believe i have solved the problem. After a reboot after the disks had initalized, i was able to use the default login admin and password to begin the process of setup.
