I can't see my new hard drive.
I just installed a 6Tb sata iron wolf (seagate) hard drive into my RN214 4 bay door. am up to date with the OS and i can see that it on my admin page but i can access it. any help would be awesome. a...

Are you using the default XRAID? You can tell this by goint to the volume tab of the web ui. If the XRAID control on the right has a green stripe, then XRAID is enabled.
If you install a blank disk into a system that uses XRAID, then XRAID will automatically include that disk into the volume. If you have a single 500 GB disk installed, then the system will convert that to a RAID-1 volume. That means that the second disk would provide mirroring redundancy (taking 500 GB of the disk), with the remainder of the space (5.5 TB) going unused.
If that is your situation, then you either need to
(a) upgrade the 500GB drive to a 6 TB drive - which will give you a 6 TB redundant volume
(b) Back up the data, remove one drive, do a factory reset, reconfigure the NAS, and switch to flexraid. Then add the second disk, and create a second volume on it. Finally restore your data from the back up.
