I/O error while sync!! help please #19473831
hello
i noticed that my disk 2 was giving me errors that it has reallocated sectors couple of times.. well i thought that lets change my disk 2 to new one. then hell broke loose dang it initialized disk 2 ok but after starting to sync it started to blink disk 3 as yellow and popup windows tells me I/O errors occur from disk 3, "volume is still redundant, change disk 3 blaa blaa"
is my data gone?! if i change the disk 3 too? or can i change the old disk 2 back even if it started to sync the new disk 2?
im starting to hate these seagate 1tb hdd's this was my third one with bad sectors. First time went ok, second time whole nas went bananas and lost all my data, now well its not looking very bright :(
now it just blinks disk 2 and disk 3 in NAS and i cant get into frontview.. blah

- StephenBGuru - Experienced Userdo you have a backup?
- silmaAspirantOf course not :D i have 2 Nas boxes and this has mostly backups but some data that i have not anywhere else grrr. Disk had only 11 reallocated sectors oh why i changed it blah. Im just pondering would it work if i plug power of and put the old disk2 back?, if i change disk3 i think everything is gone because it couldnt sync disk2 in 10 mins before i got i/o error in disk3
