Rudy-san - the sparc based ReadyNAS units will not support drives over 2TB. It is an issue with the kernel used in the OS and is not fixable. Until the 3TB drives came on the market, this was not known to the development staff. This is the main reason it was discontinued and the v2 series with a new chip and completely new OS was developed. Stick with the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) and you will be OK.
