Is there a known problem with slot 3 of NV+
We have 4 ReadyNas NV+ (1st gen) with RAIDiator 4.1.10 installed.
All 4 of them have 4*1TB Seagate drives installed.
NAS1 has just reported that "Disk fail event occurred on SATA channel 3.", that drive has already been replaced once before when it's reallocation count hit 150.
The other 3 drives on that NAS box show 0 reallocated sectors
NAS2 shows a Reallocated Sector Count of 332 for channel 3, but 0 for the other 3 drives
NAS3 shows a Reallocated Sector Count of 0 for all 4 drives
NAS4 shows a Reallocated Sector Count of 88 for channel 3, but 0 for the other 3 drives
I have run SeaTools for both short and long tests but it says the drive has no errors
Is this a known problem with the NV+ ?
Is it limited to just NV+ ? As my boss wants us to get an Ultra 4+ or Pro 4, but I'm dubious.
Thanks,
Matt

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have the stock 256MB RAM module installed?
It could be in NAS 1 at least that you have a faulty drive bay. You should contact NetGear support to see if they agree.
Depending on when you purchased the NV+ (v1) units they may have 5 year or 3 year warranties. - MattHouseAspirantAll 4 NV+ have the stock Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7]
2 were bought Dec 2010 and the other 2 around Sept 2011
I think it is NAS1 & NAS3 that are the oldest since their serial numbers start with 23J30B7
The serial numbers for NAS2 & NAS4 start with 23J5157
Do you know when the warranties changed from 5 or 3 years ? - chirpaLuminaryReadyNAS Hardware Warranty
1 year hardware warranty - before 6/1/2007
3 year hardware warranty - before 8/21/2007
5 year hardware warranty - after 8/21/2007
