Managing a ReadyNAS after ReadyCloud is gone
I've seen a few posts about ReadyCloud alternatives, but most seem to be focused on accessing shares remotely. I don't need to access the shares, but I do need to be able to access the NAS GUI to do ...

what browser can I use to access NAS ?
I'm trying to access RN10400 with browser, keep getting
Connecting to Admin Page, then, after maybe 60 seconds ? get 'Ready NAS Admin page is offline'
saw elsewhere here thread to use Firefox 0.94 ?, didn't work either

Any industry standard and decent Web browsers are workable.

tried current Chrome current Edge on up to date W10, tried FFox on W7, getting a progress stripe for maybe 60 secs or so, then get the message 'Ready NAS Admin page is offline', NAS is online, can access files/folders via network folder share
saw in another thread suggestion to use FF .94, tried several FF version, same issue
NAS works fine, can access data, can't access web GUI

Not relevant for your NAS, that is a workaround for systems that run 4.x and 5.x firmware. Not for 6.x.

I suspect you will see precisely the same behavior with ReadyCloud. It's not about your browser.
Try rebooting the NAS.

thanks very much! not very familar with different version, so I thought that was my issue...
hmmm... this was originally a RN31400 with 3 SATA HDDs, it failed few weeks ago, they thought it was a power supply maybe not providing amps, as voltage was OK, replaced power supply, same issue: on power up LCD lights up, but, after maybe few seconds LCD goes off, unit shuts down.
couldn't find identical RN31400 unit, came across a RN10400 unit, took a punt it should work...plugged the 3 drives, powered on, unit powered up, hooked to LAN, \\NAS-01 visible, all shares working as before, all seems OK - EXCEPT, different IP (192.168.0.37/38 (I think it was different before - not sure?))
wanted to open web i/f, times out.
the Netgear utility picks it up, says healthy, runs test OK, it's abt 90% free - but just can't open web GUI, just get Netgear logo screen
appreciate any pointers, thank you!
