Thank you for this, I'll study it ! - OldHippyAspirantOK, I have read the above mention guide, and it did answer SOME QUESTIONS, but . . .either it is out od date, or NOT for the READYNAS DUO that I have. The screens shown in the guide DO NOT MATCH with the screens in MY FRONTVIEW, and my FRONTVIEW says it is up to date, when I tell it to go look for updates.
I’m sure the guide provides much needed info for someone with basic knowledge, but as an ABSOLUTE NEWBIE, I found it (somewhat) confusing, and it not matching my version of FRONTVIEW didn’t help.
But thanks for all the effort, I did pick up a few things, and I’ll continue to FIGHT my way through this. . . one more question: . . . is this suppose to be fun??? :) :?
PEACE
Old Hippy - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe Duo lacks business features. So amongst other things the Security Mode is set to User mode and you can't change it. If you don't see an option in Frontview then it's not available for your NAS model.
