I agree the drive needs to be replaced ASAP.
Disk warranties have changed over the years, and it also depends on how you purchased (some drives allocated for OEM distribution have shorter warranties). So you do need to check the seagate site.
I'd buy a new drive for the NAS. The RMA from seagate will be recertified, and not new. So keep the replacement drive (if you can get one) as an emergency spare. Based on what I've read here, I'd avoid seagate DM drives. Both Seagate and WDC make NAS-purposed drives that are similar in price to desktop drives. Either get one of those, or get an enterprise drive.
