Move RAID volume from broken ReadyNAS RNDX4000 into older -> ReadyNAS-NV

- No. The RAID format is different and Sparc NAS can't boot an x86 OS, likewise an x86 NAS can't boot a Sparc OS.
- See above, you can't migrate disks from a NVX to a NV or vice versa
- It is best to keep the disk order the same, but provided the disks and array are fine you should still be O.K. If needed support could determine the drive order by looking at the OS on the disks.
You should get the RN314 and move the disks across to that following the article you linked to. If it doesn't boot you will need to contact support for additional assistance.

Thanks for the assistance! I have succesfully transfered all data from my old raid volume using RN314 to backup/intermediate storage.
Restructuring data architecture and waiting for Amazon Cloud Drive support... :-)
