Moving disk from ReadyNAS Duo v1 to ReadyNAS 10400

I'd like to update my ReadyNAS Duo (2 bays) with a ReadyNAS10400.

Actually, my ReadyNAS is configured with 2 HD in RAID 1 and 1 independent HD attached to external USB (formatted in NTFS).

Can I insert all the 4 HD in a ReadyNAS 10400 keeping same configuration (2 HD in RAID 1 + 1 JBOD HD) without loosing any data?

Thanks for the answer!!!

I understood that the best thing is to backup everything.

About installing NTFS disk in an already running system?

        Hi bubi,

Are you asking if it's safe to plug in an external USB disk that is formatted with NTFS? If yes, that would be fine.

        Kind regards,
