NAS NV+ power supply failure

The one you want is the RND4PSU1-10000S which does not have a fan. Amazon has them for $105.24, however right now their link is going to a third party source for $116.02, click on the link "39 new" from $105.24 and the first in the list is Amazon itself.
When the NV first came out, it had a very small fan similar to what was in the rack mount units, but was very noisy. So Rev B replaced that with a fanless PSU. The initial fanless PSU used in the NV and early NV+ units had no ducting and some weak components and were prone to fail. The replacement PSU for this has a metal cover with venting and a plastic barrier so that the air from the front lower portion of the case when being drawn by the case fan must go through the metal cover and thus over the components.
If you received a replacement PSU a year ago, that should have been the type you received. Contact them again and see what they say. If you order a new one, make sure it is NOT the one for the ReadyNAS 1000 as that is a rack mount unit and is also available from some vendors.
