NAS NV+
hi
i wonder if anyone can help me my readyNAS NV+ has failed it will no longer power up
i know all the drives are working is there anyway i can use a windows PC to access the data they copy it to my new RN104 as i am aware that the drives can not be migrate and would need to be formated.

You will need a linux computer if you need to view the contents of the HDDs, I have heard that netgear engineers has a way of migrating disk to OS6 units without formatting but not 100% sure about it. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOur support engineers have a way of attempting to recover the data using a 104, but you would need to not do anything until instructed to by support. The data would need to be backed up to e.g. a USB disk, so you can then wipe the disks and restore data from backup.
Were you using X-RAID or Flex-RAID? If Flex-RAID which RAID level?
