Netgear Ready NAS NV+
Good day all,
I hope you are well!
I am facing an issue with our Netgear Ready NAS NV+ Model:RND 4000...I know that this unit may be not supported anymore, but your feedback can help me with the issue.
Recently we change all four (4) disks inside to add larger capacity, at the time of writing this RAID Configuration Status show
Status: Recovery 21% complete, Time to finish 23 hr 9 min, Speed 27.0 MB/sec
This is a normal behavior...but our issue is that when we try to copy file onto the NAS network speed is 10 Mb /s thats the fastest that we got...our Interfaces configuration Status Online / 1000 Mbit / Full-Duplex and we verify on the Cisco switch that the NAS is connected that is properly configure for 1000 Mbit...but again the fastest speed is 10 Mbps
Is it because that the RAID did not complete that we stuck on 10 Mbps!!!
I verify that if there is an update to the system and we are at the latest version...
Thank you for your precious help!
Best regards,

How can I see if the NIC connection has been disturbed?
The simplest thing is to just remove the ethernet connector and reinsert it.
Or if it is convenient, run another (known good) cable from the NV+ to the upstream switch.
Gigabit requires all 8 contacts to be functioning - if some are open, you can end up negotiating a slower speed. Though usually you'd end up with 100 mbit, not 10.

I'd wait for the resync to finish, then then power down/restart the NAS.
Maybe also check the NIC connection on the NV+, as it might have been disturbed when you upgraded the disks.
Just in case - you are aware that the NV+ v1 doesn't support drives > 2 TB?

StephenB -thank you very much for your answer...I'll wait for the sync and restart the unit
Drives that we change are 4x1TB, thanks for the input for maximum capacity (2TB) for each drive on that unit I did not know...
How can I see if the NIC connection has been disturbed?
