0 to 40 C (32 to 104 F)
20% to 80% Humidity (non-condensing)
This means that ReadyNAS products are tested and certified to work at between 0-40C ambient temperature. So while specific components such as HDD & CPU may be reporting temperatures that are inline with their individual specifications, you may be putting your unit at risk if you place it where the ambient specification is not met.
Also bear in mind that if you were to shut the NAS down at some point, not immediately restarting it, even the HDDs may be operating out of spec for a while
Ultimately the choice is of course yours, but I personally would never take the risk of running fragile components like HDDs out of spec
