Need a replacement Disk Tray

I am missing one drive tray for a readynas 104. You'd think that something like this would be easy to find but I have had no luck. How/where can I buy one?

Thank you!

  • It looks like they provided you an accessory RMA for a new tray (btw NETGEAR part code  290-10217-01)

  • I just contacted support and was told to contact Wal-Mart, Best Buyer, etc for a new drive tray. Sounds like you are SOL if you have one that breaks or is lost. That really blows my mind after purchasing two Readynas devices.

Hopefully, someone here can point me in the right direction. I read somewhere that the readynas duo v2 trays would work. Can anyone confirm this? Not that it'll help if I can't find those either :D

The RNDTRAY-10000S should fit, but you lose the tool-less feature.

Not something I have tried though.

It shouldn't be possible to lose a drive tray as the only time the disk tray should be removed is when removing/adding/replacing a disk. Or if the hardware failed and the chassis needed to be RMA'd you would keep the drive trays and the disks, and the external PSU (unless requested by support).

Yes. The old desktop drive tray will work in the new desktop NAS but not the other way around.
