Netgear ReadyNAS 104 won't power up.

I decided to risk the $26 for the new power supply. Got it today and it started right up with the new power supply so case is solved. Bad power supply.
You may have an issue with the power pack or the power connection on the NAS. Did you try wiggling the connection to see if it made a difference? As StephenB stated, buying a replacement supply may be a good thing to try. If you have another 5V supply without at least 1A of capacity and the right connector, you could try powering it up using that supply without the drives. Under no circumstances should you try it with the drives and an underrated supply, you could do a lot of damage. But if it powers up empty with a lower-rated supply, you know for sure the power pack is the issue.
I have tried wiggling the connector and it doesn't help. The two times it did power up it was just a straight plug it in and it powered on. I have tried it with no drives in it. I never got power anytime with no drives in it. If it makes any difference the green light on the power supply does come on. Not sure if that means it is OK or if it just has enough power to light the green light up.
