Netgear ReadyNAS 314 Has Login Issues
Hi everybody, this forum is amazingly helpful. I’ve had some issues with my RN314 that I bought back in 2014 brand new, but after resolving my issue trying to delete a file (which was fixed VIA Os R...

To be more clear, my IOS devices are on the latest firmware and what I meant by today is that is when I downgraded my firmware two-one version down I was having the issue.

Alright, I have checked trying to login to a device that uses the same login method as the ReadyNAS. (What I means is that it doesn’t have its own login portal just uses the default browser type like the ReadyNAS uses). And I am able to login fine, tried refreshing the page and all is good with that device. The next thing that I am going to do is connect this to a old wifi router (while not connecting it to the LAN) and if it works fine there, then something in my network is forcing the wrong passwords to login to the unit. If it doesn’t work, then something is wrong with the ReadyNAS (hopefully the first one). I will update this post accordingly.

Are you addressing the NAS by IP address or name? If by name, try by IP.
If that doesn't help, try logging in from an incognito window in Chrome to make sure it's not your browser that's sending the wrong password.

Hi Sorry for the late response, I am accessing it using the NAS ip address. The good news is that isolating it off the network, and using the same problematic browser doesn’t ask me for my password twice, I’ve refreshed the page over 10 times and it isn’t glitching out. I believe something on my network is fighting with this device, but not sure what it is. It is halfway solved, as it is working but I need to connect this device to my LAN. I have over 20 devices connected to my network, and we recently factory reset our modem and started over from scratch. I’m at least happy to know that nothing is wrong with the ReadyNAS itself, but something is wrong with our network. We are moving houses anyways soon so we will be getting a real wifi router instead of a ISP provided one. I tried incognito once or twice and it was the same issue. Network is the issue, but this is the ONLY network in my house, I don’t have any more to connect to my ReadyNAS.
