What firmware is the NAS running?  Can you post a screen shot showing the actual error message?

Have you tried contacting paid Netgear support (my.netgear.com)?

Thanks.  I am thinking the translation is flawed (that the English version would say something different).  Corrupt Root perhaps???  Perhaps mdgm-ntgr can track it down.

If you have a USB dock, you could power down the NAS and then connect the disk to a Windows PC.  Then see if R-linux for Windows can access your files ( http://www.r-tt.com/free_linux_recovery/ ).

If it can't, then you will either need paid support (my.netgear.com) or RAID recovery software.  Several users have reported success with ReclaiMe.
