Netgear ReadyNAS Pro ?? -bay NAS Drive
Hello I am currently pricing up a new NAS. I think the Netgear ReadyNas pro range will suit my needs. I am looking for a fast reliable file server to work on a windows workgroup network. The primary function will be as a file server. All other functions are secondary, including backups as I will have a scheduled job copying files off site.
The read write of these boxes looks to be in my range, Read/write 98mbps for the pro 2, upto 112/113 on the pro 6.
Cost is obviously an issue, so I am looking at suitable disks for these, in this respect I have 2 questions.
. I cannot find a list of recommended disks, does anyone know if there is one?
. I will never need more than 50GB of storage, so I can I get smaller capacity disks, or do I have to get 1TB each?
If I can cut the cost on the disks, without the performance I can look at the 4 and 6 models.
Thanks in advance.

I would go with the Pro 6. No need to fill it straight away. You could start out with a couple of disks and add more later.
