Netgear Stora MS2000 cannot access after hard reset

Netgear won't help...even though they still have the non functioning software as a download on their website.

As you say, Netgear won't help and AFAICT there is no way to set up the Stora since they took down www.mystora.com. back in 2020.
I believe the file system is XFS, which you should be able to mount on a linux system.

You could also try this package from Paragon - it might let you read the files on a Windows PC (after you connect the drive to the PC using either SATA or a USB adapter/dock).
Note I've never owned a Stora, so I have no direct experience with it.
Thnx Stephen! I'm glad that at least the Netgear community is still alive. I'm going for your 3rd option now. A hardware guy is looking into how to connect the Stora to my Windows 10 laptop now. The Paragon software cannot mount the Stora through the modem.
You won't be able to use the Stora itself for this. You'll need a USB dock. The Stora isn't accessible via USB.
