Network novice trying to access ReadyNAS NV+ // Help?

Hello all. I'm a total network novice. I have a ReadyNAS NV+ that is connected to my iMac via ethernet. I have installed RAIDar - which quickly detects the ReadyNAS. When clicking on RAIDar's Admin Page or Locate buttons, I get a message that reads Your NETGEAR storage is not accessible from this computer. Check your network settings. Screenshot attached.

From there, I can't solve the problem, even after reviewing a number of other threads on various communities. Like I said… complete novice.

Any help that anyone could provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Normally the NAS gets an IP address from your router, using a protocol called DHCP.

If for some reason that fails, the NAS will use 192.168.168.168 instead.  That appears to be what is happening here.

If you generally are able to connect to your NAS, then you could try rebooting the NV+.

First shut it down gracefully by pressing and holding the power button until the status displa shows "Shutting down".  That should take about 5 seconds.  Then power it up again, and see if you get a different IP address,

If you are new to ReadyNAS (or haven't used the NV+ for a while), then there could be other things getting in the way.  But start with rebooting.

Don't connect it directly to the computer, put it on your network by plugging it into your router or switch.  If there is some reason you can't do that, then you'll have to manually assign a compatible IP address to the computer, one in the 192.168.168.xxx range.

But then you're also going to have to work around the fact that the NAS uses SMB1 and TLS V1.0.  You can work around the TLS issue by using FireFox and changing the appropriate setting.  But I'm not sure how you work around SMB1 with a Mac.
