Newest NAS?
Hi. I have a ReadyNAS Pro Business and I'm satisfied with its performance. It's over three years old and I've replaced all the drives in it in the last year or so. (They've replaced for upgrade purposes only. No crashes or any catastrophes.)
Because of my familiarity with its software I'm thinking about getting an additional unit for safety/security. I see that there is an Ultra and an Ultra Plus, but I can't see what the difference is between them. There are also units called simply "Pro" but I can't see where those are in the product line.
It seems that the product line hasn't changed much from my Pro Business, purchased in 2009.
Can someone please point me toward a page where I can see the difference among these models? Also, do the newer units use Thunderbolt or eSATA for connection of fast external backup units? (USB 2 is pretty useless for backing up TBs of data.)
Thank you.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe only NAS that would be an upgrade from your ReadyNAS Pro Business Edition (RNDP6000-100) would be a ReadyNAS Pro 6 (RNDP6000-200). The main difference is that the Pro 6 has a faster CPU. Whilst the Pro 6 doesn't have USB3 some lower end models do. No ReadyNAS models have Thunderbolt or eSATA at this time.
As has been mentioned elsewhere you might want to see if anything new is announced at CES. CES 2013 runs from January 8 - 11 in the US. - Blues11LuminaryThanks for the rapid response. I'll check out the news from CES.
