no longer able to login as admin

My READY NAS continues to work fine and the data is accessible.   However, I can no longer login as admin.    The admin recovery process simply loops with no response.  I am pretty sure the recover...

I wondered about doing an OS re-Install but I am scared of losing my data on the NAS.

 

One option is to back it up first (at least the most critical).  You ought to have a backup plan in place for the NAS.

 

Though something can always go wrong, an OS-reinstall is designed to preserve your data.
