Not impressed
After using an icybox for several years,I had to replace it, so chose Ready Nas duo. Biggest mistake ever,the included bit torrent doesnt show web interface(I did ask about this on here weeks ago but have yet to get a single reply),transmission worked for about 10 minutes and now web interface dont show up.Can take up to 30 minutes for media folders to show in Network,sometimes not at all. Just seems as though everthing needs fixing as soon as you buy it......... bit like a microsoft OS. :(

- Your experience seems quite abnormal. Perhaps you have network issues on your LAN?
- It would be best if you opened a discussion about your issues on the Hardware and Hardware Compatibility forum. It sounds to me that there is some conflict within your system somewhere. There are a number of experienced users who can help you diagnose your problem. When I first installed my NVX, I had a severe compatibility issue with a network device which affected my NAS making it unusable for what I wanted. Through the suggestions of a few of the very experienced users on this forum, I was able to diagnose the problem and replace the culprit. It cost me about $30 to fix. The NAS was not at fault and I don't think yours is either.
I have an NV+ as well, and although the file transfer rate is nowhere near the newer units, the media folders on my machine open in seconds. - For local access, first I wold try a direct-connect using a known working Cat5e or newer ethernet cable: http://sphardy.com/web/directconnect
Once you've sorted local network issues then I'd move onto dealing with bittorrent. The bit torrent add-on is still available but no longer supported. It's recommended to use Transmission.
