The "options: tm" entry is only needed for Lion. Once you update to Lion you'll need to update to 4.1.8+ and make that change. The change is still useful for older Macs e.g. Snow Leopard Macs.
You might need to follow the steps in the old guide here, I guess: Making Time Machine work with the ReadyNAS
