NV+ Power Supply Failure
Apparent power supply failure in my Readynas NV+. System appears to power up then becomes unresponsive even to power button on front of machine. Smell coming from machine. Part#/Model#: RNV2-S4-R4...
I just had the PSU on my NV+ burn out on me a couple nights ago - smelled the familiar smell of electronics burning when I walked into the room, and discovered the unit was already powered off (thankfully a real fire didn't break out). Netgear support hooked me up with a replacement PSU free of charge, even though I bought my NV+ back in Jan 2007! (tho I did opt for the $25 next business day advance replacement option - downtime needs to be kept to a minimum!)
