I had the same problem with my ReadyNAS NV+ PSU, it just died, interestingly enough this was not caused by a surcharge,
I could see that the main coil and 2 capacitors were fried. Very interesting.
I opened a case with Netgear support and they've told me they don't have headquarters for Romania, where I am based now.
But finally I could find at amazon replacing PSU for my model, which IMO is the way to go. Without paying too much for a new
bare bone ReadyNAS.
