To the NV+v1 users.
I have to take back what I said on 12th March last.
Alot of the earlier posts above date from 2012.
The v1 Chassis is end of life, and you won't be able to buy Sparc v1 NAS in the shops.
Depending on when the v1 was bought, warranty is 3 or 5yrs, more often 3yrs.
April 2013
I have a customer where his power supply is blown. I can't replace as its outside his 3 yrs
warranty. He is willing to buy a supply, and has tried a number of UK resellers, incl
Misco UK, where it is out of stock.
Netgear are placing a last time order to the China/ Far East supplier to stock up the
RMA reserves. I want to make enquiries about how Netgear can trigger resellers to
stock these PSU's. I can't give promises or commits on this, and am meeting inertia.
I've seen prices on eBay go to £170 UK pounds.
So, for those of you with NV+ v1's can you check your warranty cover, retain your
Invoice/ Proof of purchase ( not on NAS !!) and have
your valuable data backed up to a 2nd source.
Regards, Marto
