Thanks Stephen. Just tried this and this works, for anyone who has a dead PSU ... this is DEFINITELY the route to go. Here's a pic of my temp setup while I frantically try to get data off of the box. This could very easily be modified (as OP indicated) as a perm solution, and honestly it would be if I didn't have the box being replaced.
