I have just purchased an NV+ v2 and two WD 1TB Red. I upgraded the unit to 5.3.7 (it came with 5.3.5).
The WD Red disks are almost silent. Initial sync took ~5 hours.
However, the fan is whining away with a low level noise that is just annoying. It is fairly quiet, but in a quiet room, I can hear it over my PC. I changed the stock fan on my Duo (v1) to a Fractal Design 60mm Silent Series for the same reason. The fan on my NV+ v2 is reported as spinning at 1365rpm and each disk temperature is 26 degrees C (it's not under any stress yet).
Is 1365rpm the lowest / normal?
Is there a fan control utility for the NV+ v2?
