NV+v2 HCL

Drives bought on May 2012 according to the HCL published at that time of which I hold a printed copy of, included Western Digital Caviar Green WD30EZRX with a total cost of 410 Euros are now taken off the HCL. Does that mean that those drives are no longer considered as compatible. Would I be denied support by the Netgear Technical Support if used on the Ready Nas Nv+ v2, not to mention that I would have trouble using the drives that I was directed to use by Netgear HCL.

WD no longer supports using those drives in NAS units with more than two drive bays. They have settings making them unsuitable for NAS use.

You should use WD RED disks instead.

Make sure you keep a good backup. The disks were removed for a reason. Regardless of the support situation I would recommend stopping using the WD Green disks.
