Opinions on the ReadyNAS 104
Hi, Considering purchasing a ReadyNAS 104 but can't find many reviews. Decided to go to the source. Anyone have one?
I had a 104 that I exchanged for a 314.
In general both boxes are nice and I like the UI. Good and solid.
I did the exchange because we will use the ReadyNAS in a home office situation where one of us will be doing accounting and the other Adobe applications. The performance on the 104 just was not there . . .
That said, the 104 streamed video to DLNA devices -- TV and iPad -- beautifully and for simple file sharing, even with two of us the performance was fine.
Do note that the OS -- now 6.0.6 -- still seems to be late beta stuff. There are lots of bugs and features that are not fully implemented.
