OS 6.10.8 is down again?
I was playing with the virtual ReadyNAS. I can no longer install the portainer anymore. And I tried it on y 628X and it confirmed the same.
I can never understand what Netgear has been doing with the ReadyNAS repo behind the scene.

Did you make the required changes in /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/apt.conf to get around the issue that Debian 8 has been archived? See How-I-got-apt-update-and-install-to-work-with-Debian-Jessie.
I was using local repository. no time, will experiment a bit more later.
I remember you was able to set up a local repo using ftp from another NAS> I have a synology unit. I am getting permission denied. here is what I entered in the source.list:
deb [trusted=yes] ftp://username:password@192.168.1.20:21/volume2/Jessie/debian jessie contrib main non-free
The user has all the permission setup properly in synology. I have no problem access the directory using filezila.
