Okay, I tried that... and it's useless. The "everyone" ADS permission is restored (with "full control") as soon as I eject and reconnect the USB device.
It wouldn't have mattered even if it worked, as AFP keeps coming back with read/write perms for "everyone" as well.
Very disappointing.
