Hi Guys
some of you recently helped me out with ressurecting my 312. I am now up and running new firm ware , 2x2tb iron wolfs synced and health, all working with one cloud . so i feel data safe for the first time in a long time. i have effectively four copies of 90% of my media . the original pc drives, the nas times 2 and of site cloud.
This started with a review of media expenditure, and the sure knowledge of 4 new phones and 4 new tablets shortly required. we where completely IOS centric and was looking at 3-4k for tech plus 4 x 200gb i cloud accounts . i was also running dropbox google and onecloud all with a monthly spend.
i can now start a longed for divorce from apple, and go android , i can set the whole family up with pocophones and mypads for the price of one 1 iphone 11 ? as an example.
my questions relate to setting the filing up so sorry if they are newby but just cant see how to do it.
firstly does anyone back up there phone media to one drive and then sync this to NAS. I currently only have one file name for photos in one drive going to one share
on readynas. i would like one file on each phone in one drive app going to its corresponding share in readynas , so each account holder can look at there folder .
You also get a lot of rubbish throw away photos on phones which i dont want mixing with the core family photos makes deleting easier down the line .
the other issue i have is there are some stuff on icloud that needs moving to the one drive/readynas combo but its only in the cloud not on the phones any ideas how to move it ?
any idaeas or practical advices as always greatfully recieved.
cheers
john

I use Resilio Sync for this. Though there is an app for the NAS, I run it on a Windows PC, and then migrate the files to the NAS.
OneDrive likely could also be used.

If you just want to transfer the data, access the iCloud files on a PC and drag/drop them to OneDrive or a NAS share.
