Performance Difference with 1gb Upgrade?
Hi All, i have a ReadyNAS NV+ (RND4000) with 4 x 2TB Drives. this is a brilliant machine, it still running on standard 256mb memory I can't fault it on streaming speed, it streams a 25gb bluray rip...
I think I paid <$30 bucks for my AllComponents chip so it wasn't a big investment, but then I had my failure which WAS a big investment (in time & effort). I can't say for sure the chip was at fault (my problems started when attempting to update the firmware) but it's spooked me so take my advice for what you paid for it... :)
You might give the latest beta software a try; it has some improvements that might help you. Or at least, scour the various threads here about it to see if you can spot any better xsfer numbers than you already have.
