VQ355 - I have a unique situation in that I have a circa 2004 laptop that uses the same memory as the NV+, and since I upgraded the memory on the laptop to 1GB before buying a new laptop, I tried the memory and it worked just fine. Only problem is that I saw little if any increase in the file transfer rate. Servers don't need a great deal of memory to transfer files. What they need additional memory for is the add ons that people add. After the 1GB module was in my NV+ for several months, I had a problem with my new laptop so had to go back to my old one and pulled the 1GB memory back out and went back to stock.
Now I could have used the stock 256GB memory in the laptop, but even with XP it would run like a dog. (It came with a 256GB module). I never put the 1GB memory back in as I saw no benefit to it.
