Performance Difference with 1gb Upgrade?
Hi All, i have a ReadyNAS NV+ (RND4000) with 4 x 2TB Drives. this is a brilliant machine, it still running on standard 256mb memory I can't fault it on streaming speed, it streams a 25gb bluray rip...
I upgraded the memory in my duo v1, and while file transfers didnt get any faster, I noticed things like directory listings and the 5 min scene scan on my PS3 popped up faster.
It also was a huge help in using the unit while I had addons turned on. If you are using it as a plain NAS, probably wouldnt bother with it.
