power and disk lights blinking but "Device Is Offline"
My ReadyNAS Duo V2 boots, is found by Raidar, but power light is blinking fast, and drive lights 1 and 2 are blinking slowly.
When I login to the admin web interface all I get is
"Device is Offline, please wait"
See attached screenshot. The remainder of the admin page is unpopulated (model, serial no, firmware).
Raidar reports firmware 5.3.13.

Do you have access to the data with file explorer? If you do, then backing up the files is the top priority.
- drjasonTutorThankfully I can access the volumes using AFP. What do you think about removing one of the drives before either
- backing up the data over the network from the nas
- performing the copy using a HDD enclosure and avoiding the ReadyNas until I can do a factory reset- SandsharkSensei
Your PC will not recognize the format of the NAS drive, so putting one in a USB enclosure or dock is not an option. Since you can't get into the GUI to set up a backup to an attached USB drive, the fastest method is to copy over the LAN to a drive attached to a PC. You could attach the USB drive to the NAS, but then the data would be going over the LAN twice -- from NAS to PC and then PC to NAS.
Your symptoms are similar to what I've seen with missing or corrupt configuration files. if that is not due to an over-full OS (aka root) partition, then an OS re-install will normally fix it -- you won't need a full Factory Default. But even though that should not harm your data, it is best to make the backup while you still have SMB access. And if that fails, you are already prepared for a Factory Default.
