Does this support drive sizes 3Tb+?

I presume it only supports SATA 2 drives?

Thanks

Yes, on RAIDiator 4.2.16 or later. If the unit ships with prior firmware you should update the firmware (requires at least one disk in place), verify the update is successful and then do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) with all disks in place.

Incorrect. There are also SATA I and SATA III drives on the compatibility list. SATA III drives are compatible with SATA II ports.
  • Sorry I think I meant that SATA III speeds are not achievable, only SATA II?

    Thanks for the answers.

sata 3 is really only useful for SSD's, I don't know of any disk based drives that can saturate or sustain 600mbs.

certainly no drives with that speed and cost would be effectively put in a home nas.
