Quick question... USB 3.0 upgrade?

Think I know the answer to this, but figured I'd ask anyway... Is there any way I can add USB 3.0 to my RNDP600E (Pro Pioneer)?

    I don't think so.

You could however consider the new ReadyNAS OS devices such as the RN316 and RN516 which have two USB 3.0 ports on the rear as well as some eSATA ports :)

However do note that due to the different filesystem you would need to transfer your data e.g. across your network.

A new device would be fun... but my initial investment was expected to be amortized over ~10 years. And while demoting my "old" NAS to offsite backup duty at a second location would be great, it would also mitigate my interest in a USB 3.0 jack for an external portable drive in the first place!
