Raidar seeing ReadyNas but cant access
If i hit the Admin page,locate or browse button i get a ("Your NETGEAR Storage is not accessible from this computer, please check your newtwork setting) message. I have an ip of 192.168.1.4.
When you look in RAIDar, what IP address does your NAS have?
To be clear on this - If your NAS and your PCs aren't on the same subnet, then RAIDar will discover the NAS, but you can't reach it.
We're trying to rule that possibility out first. In order to do that, we need to know the IP address of both the NAS and the PC.
Not sure how things went here but the other day (after some serious fiddling with switch and NAS firmware and breaking and making LAGs) I, in an unguarded moment, turned my whole network off by blacking out the house at the meter box. 8D
Nothing else had managed to fix it but it reset subnet and other misconfigurations just fine. Knowing which breaker my DNS server (the router) was on helped so it came up first. YMMV...
