RD5200 NFS mount issue

Hi

I've just resurected an old RD5200. I reinstalled it with the latest firmware. I configured the SMB sharing easily but get an issue with the NFS sharing

- I activated NFS

- I set R/W permission for my minux box for the share in the volume properties

- I applied the settings

But when I try to do a mount ip:/Share /mnt/netgear on my Linux box I get a timeout error after a few minutes

An nmap showed NFS was not listening ! ==> I then tried to reboot the RD and then get the following error :

mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 192.168.1.69:/Share

I double checked and the IP of my Linux box is listed with R/W access and root access !

I also tryed with "Any host" checked but got the same error...

What am I missing ?

Thx

  • I answer to myself : the share name is /Volume/Share, not /Share

(got it by sshing to the RD and running exportfs as root)

  • Hi

Still have an issue, even with "root access" checked, root has no access to the snapshot dirs on the linux side ?

    Thx
