That Apevia looks like a good choice. Has 3 4-pin Molex connectors (that they label "PATA") and higher currents for all voltages than the original. Most especially the 2.5A of +5VSB should help keep that from being the most vulnerable.

Sandshark I know we have discussed the issue of the LED on the front door not working. I took the cable off and checked it for continuity and it is fine. Any idea as to how to check the LED board?

Unfortunately, no. I've not run across a NAS with a display issue except for a pinched cable and one that had become partially dislodged. With no schematic, It's not going to be an easy task.
