ReadyNas RND4000 v3 not powering on after power cut

Hi there
I have a RND4000 v3 (couldn't find this listed in model numbers but the device has number RND4250V3 and RND4450V3 listed too) and after a power cut the device is no longer powering on. I've tried support but it's a merry go round trying to get any answers or help.

I hear a clicking noise when I plug the kettle lead in so I'm not sure if the PSU is the issue but it seems the best place to start. Can anyone help direct me to a site or seller in the UK that can supply the part and guidance on how to replace it, far too technical for me.

I'm primarily trying to get it powered on to get the data off as I don't have a backup of the data (!)

Thanks in advance.

The part numbering system can be confusing.

You have hardware revision 3 of the original NV+.  We call all of the original (sparc-based) platforms "NV+ v1" here.

Here is one supplier:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323971676540  Note it is possible to get "stock" supplies, perhaps for a bit less.  But you'd need to make a change to the wiring in order to use them.

Netgear's instructions on replacement are here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-COMMON/Replacing%20the%20PSU.pdf

Try removing all the disks (powered down) - labeling them by slot number as you remove them.  Then power up the NAS, and see if you still hear the clicking sound.  Also, check if the LCD displays "no disks" or not.

If you see "no disks", then it is possible that you have a failed disk, and not a bad PSU.  In this situation, try

    1. installing disks 2, 3, 4 in their original slots (leaving bay 1 empty).
    2. Power up, and see if the system boots.

If this fails, try again with disks 1, 3, 4 (again, in their original slots), followed by 1, 2, 4 and 1, 2, 3.

If you find a combination that boots, offload your data immediately.

      Hi Stephen

I appreciate the really speedy response and thanks for clarifying the point about the model numbers.

I am not getting any response when pressing the power button, the clicking I referred to was as the kettle lead goes into the socket.

I hope you don't mind but I've included some pictures of the device and want to just double confirm that it is the right part you provided?

Do you mind if I send
