    Hi spluds,

     

    Welcome to the Community!

     

    If the existing volume on your RN202 is on X-RAID, you can move the two existing 6TB drives from your RN202 to the RN214 then add another drive later. You may check this link as well for reference in migrating a volume to another OS6 unit.

     

    In my opinion, it is always best that you do a backup of your data before doing a migration just to be safe as well.
